“respect to Natalie”
Johann Lippowitz’s famous “interpretive dance” act spoofed, you might say, Natalie Imbruglia’s hit single “Torn”. For reference, here’s the original music video, with a young and too-eager (and adorable) Ms. Imbruglia singing her catchy and well-made but, you know, formulaic and vacuous pop tune. An easy target, maybe, but you have to admit Lippowitz is pretty brilliant.
Anyway this meme been around for a while, but it’s worth mentioning again now because it turns out Natalie thinks the act is kinda sharp, too. Ha! And of course, Johann’s bit is still funny the 20th time.
(And Natalie’s still adorable. Okay, okay, yes: I’ve have a little crush since way back whenever that song came out. I only watched the video twice tonight, though, honest.)

Wow. That’s fucking awesome., and left me with a big smile on my face. I’m finally to divulge a secret I’ve kept hidden from most people:
